You may have noticed that we have a new section to our website called the “Horse Buddy Foundation”
This is a new project we are in the process of setting up and we are very excited to share it with you all soon.
To give you a brief idea of what it is all about, we have wanted to be able to reach more children with the work we do and all over the UK. We recognise that lots of children would benefit from a simple version of what we do in our equine therapy sessions here at FHWH and so will be setting up a scheme whereby any child can have access to spend time with a horse/pony for a session of mindfulness and a focus on improving their wellbeing, and this will be available in their local community. Similarly, we understand that there are many horse/pony owners that would like to give back and help children in their local community and we are going to be supporting them to work under the umbrella of FHWH to do so.
There is much work to be done and the pilot scheme will be starting as soon as possible and then we can share more details so keep an eye out and in the meantime please do keep up to date on our Facebook page and group.
